ASTRO 2010 is the 15th in the series of Astronautics conferences that the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute holds every two years. ASTRO 2010 will take place May 4-6, 2010 at the Westin Bristol Place Toronto Airport Hotel in Toronto. The theme of the conference is CANADA'S FUTURE IN SPACE A MISSION IN COLLABORATION with an emphasis on space activities in support of a safer world, a healthier planet and a stronger economy.

Introduction
ASTRO 2010 conference papers will be incorporated into the Proceedings EXACTLY AS SUBMITTED TO CASI and will not be reformatted. To achieve a measure of uniformity, we ask that you adhere to these basic guidelines in preparing your paper.
File Name
Files must be submitted in MS Word or WordPerfect format, and named using the following convention:
Paper #_Last name of lead author_etal (if more than one)_ASTRO2010.doc
Example: 68_Jodoin_etal_ASTRO2010.doc
Please note that PDF files are not acceptable.
Margins
Top, bottom, and side margins should be 1” to allow copying onto 8.5” x 11” paper.
Title
The title should start 1” from the top of the sheet, centered across the page. The title should be in Arial, 14 point, bold.
Authors
The name and organization of the principal author and corresponding author(s) should be presented as shown in the Example above. The names of the authors should be in Times New Roman 11 point. Other details should be 10 point.
Abstract
This should be concise and may be bilingual (one paragraph for each language). The body of the abstract should be in Times New Roman 11 point, italics.
Main Body of Paper
The main body of the paper should be full-page format, justified. The main body of the paper should start with an Introduction and finish with a Conclusion (or Summary), and References. Main section titles should be in Arial 11 point, bold. Subsection titles should be in Arial 11 point, regular. Sections may or may not be numbered. The body text should be in Times New Roman 11 point.
Length of the Paper
Typical paper length should be 4 to 6 pages.
Page Numbering
Pages should be numbered in the lower right hand corner within the footer of the page.
Figures
Figures should be embedded with the text. Captions should be Times New Roman 11 point, italics.
Submission of Papers
Papers should be supplied to CASI in MS Word or WordPerfect format only.

Oral Presentations
Oral presentations are 15 minute long, followed by a 5 minute question period. Time limits will be strictly enforced.
Bring your presentation on a CD or a flash drive. Provide it to conference staff at registration so it can be loaded onto the conference equipment and tested.
On the day of your presentation, please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the session to familiarize yourself with the venue and find out about any last-minute changes. Bring a short bio (one paragraph) to hand in to the Chair so he/she can introduce you.
Posters
Each poster is allocated an area of approximately 1.8 m (6 feet) square. Posters will be affixed to the wall with scotch tape (supplied by the conference). Posters can be mounted from noon until 6 pm on Monday May 3, and between 7:00 am - 8:00 am on Tuesday May 4. They should be left on display for the entire duration of the conference.
Authors are required to accompany their posters to discuss their work during the Poster Session on Wednesday May 5 between 16:30-18:00. Coffee and snacks will be served during the Poster Session.
Posters are to be removed on Thursday May 6 following the conclusion of the Turnbull Lecture luncheon.
